What would be this little voice inside you ? What does she tell you ? And how does she influence your way to behave? Do you allow yourself to listen to her ? Can she take over you ? Can she do things that you never do ? Is she alive, shy,young,wild...? Does she have something to say, does she tell you something...? What is she exactly, who is this inner power which moves your body unconditionnaly...

I practice something I call the state of dance. It is a state of enchantment. As in the song. A kind of singing existence. I have practiced it as a state of intense awareness where each opportunity is presents itself as a road that unfolds. When I get up, let me down and turn around, my eye catches the shadow play of the leaves on the opposite wall, suggesting the next move. I think it is a state of existence. Like sleep, come to understand or to panic. The state of dance can occur when one performs choreography.Improvisation depends on it. When its flow is powerful, it looks like an angel slipped improvisation into your lap. When he is not, you must add to his playing techniques with more method. It still works. But to become an improviser must among other things come to know what material inspires you right now, and who is able to cause this condition: my voice, small, tiny, unobtrusive, speaks more than you might think ...

BIO 
Emma Daniel, graduated in may 2011 as a contemporary dancer at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, moved her interest from dancer-performer to maker, and enter the School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in Amsterdam this year in order to start her researches. At the same time she used to work with Dominique and Françoise Dupuy for 5 years in France and had the opportunities to perform a remake of Freres et Soeurs from Mathilde Monnier and a solo,Asobu from Josepf Nadj. As a singer-composer, Emma starts more and more to make her pieces strongly personnal and keep searching a way to connect herself as a composer and a choreographer.
